The last two Edgefest leading up to the end were actually some of the best, last year especially. Cage the Elephant and the headlined a great set of smaller bands with the exception of Good Charlotte. The Eagle is one of the few remaining rock-centric stations. They were handed a festival coming from a successful year and dropped it. This year fell flat. It felt like the end.
While failing to hype the crowd, the Eagle made sure to promote its own fest, BFD. This could be because the line up is rather terrible or because it brought a dose of reality that the Edge is gone and Edgefest will most likely be going with it.
